Level 2..

I started level 2 of the 30 Day Shred yesterday, and let me tell you, brutal! I was able to complete the entire thing though, even the plank moves! So proud of myself.. although nervous to see what level 3 will bring!

My Monday Weigh In!

Did my first official weekly weigh-in yesterday and I'm down 5lbs! Woohoo! I know the loss won't consistently be that high, but it's an awesome way to start!

Go me!

I posted about my intention to get back into shape, well, an impromptu vacation to PEI got in the way and I put it off.. I threw myself back into it after we got home and today was day 7 off eating better and exercising! I'm so proud of myself and ready to keep it up! Tomorrow is my weigh-in day, and I'm really hoping that I'll be able to report a loss! Get this, I'm even considering signing myself up for a 5K, no joke!

So, I put on a lot of weight when I was pregnant with Sophia. Like, a lot. Way more than I needed to lol, we're talking 75-80 lbs here! I'm down to about 60 lbs more than my pre-pregnancy weight so it's time to start doing something about it!

Tonight was day 2 of the 30 day shred, and man is it ever kicking my butt! Hey, at least that means it's working, right?!

So, if I post a lot about my weight loss journey on here, you can just ignore me if you like, but I'm going to try and use this blog to keep me accountable to something bigger than my own conscience, because sometimes my own conscience just isn't enough! Pictures to come!

Imagine my surprise..

Alyssa was all smiles when she came into the hospital room to meet her new baby sister, so imagine my surprise when I saw this!



Ahhh! I guess she was so excited by the Canada Day fireworks that she jumped and collided with a very sturdy picnic table, knocking her tooth completely out! I guess we can be thankful that it came out clean and didn't break.. right?..

Our newest bundle!

Sophia Ellen Grace was born on July 1st at 7:35pm, she weighed 8lbs 11 oz and was 21 inches long. After a fight with jaundice and three nights on the bili bed, she's doing great!

Fractured

My poor baby boy spent the day in the emergency room on Saturday, he fractured his leg that morning. By the time we left at 8pm or so, he was sound asleep, leg splinted. We have an appointment on Friday to have it x-rayed again, then a full cast put on. He'll be in a cast for four weeks, plus a week with the splint. My tough little man hardly made a sound, even when they had to straighten his leg out to wrap it up! He isn't allowed to walk with the splint on though, or even stand up, which is driving him crazy! It's going to be a long few weeks for all of us I think!
